Conor McGregor vs Logan Paul’s $500million fight faces stumbling block as YouTube star ‘dedicates his life’ to WWE
Logan Paul may have put the death knells in a fight with Conor McGregor last night as he declared he was finished with ‘side quests’ and committing to WWE.
For the past month, McGregor has been insisting that he is in ‘preliminary agreements’ for a fight with Paul, to take place in India next year. He has even claimed that the pair will be paid $250million each by the mega-rich Ambani family for the bout.
However, while appearing on last night’s premiere of WWE Raw on Netflix, Paul appeared to knock talks of another boxing bout on the head. He insisted that he was now committing full-time to wrestling, where he has been making a name in the last three years.
Last month, Conor McGregor took to social media to claim that he was planning to face Logan Paul in an exhibition boxing match in India. He has since even posted supposed details of a purse, even without much in the way of a response from Paul.
“The rumors of a bout with [UFC featherweight champion Ilia] Topurio are false,” he wrote. “I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”

He has also claimed the the bout will serve as a battle between stars of the two TKO Group brands WWE and UFC. “TKO Group! UFC vs WWE,” he wrote in another message towards Paul a few days after the initial tweet went viral.
“There are levels to this, a big sloppy novice is going to find out! TKO KING TITLE! #BiggestGenerator #KingofNumbers #Streams #PPV. I hold every record and I am coming back to KO this novice and rack in more numbers for the company. #StockMarketIndia #MyHighestPayPacketYet #Thanksforthecheese.”
Logan Paul has remained quiet on Conor McGregor fight talks
For years, it seemed that McGregor was insistent on ignoring the calls for a fight coming from Logan and his brother Jake Paul. But it is now the opposite way around as the Irishman is the one making regular comments on the bout.
Aside from a few teases, the elder Paul brother has remained relatively quiet regarding a potential meeting with the UFC legend. He shared an emoji in response to McGregor’s initial announcement, and after news of their prospective purses leaked he showed off some training footage.
But aside from dropping a little McGregor-themed Easter Egg at a recent WWE press conference, he has been uncharacteristically low-profile with his words. He didn’t even mention the talks during his ‘Year in Review’ YouTube video, which included his plans for 2025.
Logan Paul now insists he is ‘dedicating his life’ to WWE, not boxing
As part of the debut of Raw on Netflix, Paul was reintroduced to audiences during a pre-taped segment where he claimed he was now fully committed to wrestling. He was then shown in the crowd, where he was loudly booed by the WWE faithful at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
“I get it, I would hate me too,” Paul told fans in a trademark heel promo during last night’s episode of Raw. “I don’t ‘respect the process’. I’ve never ‘fallen in line’ or ‘waited my turn’, but you know what must really keep you up at night? I’ve been so good at this.
“And now? I’m dedicating my life to this, no more side hustle, no more bulls***. 100 per cent WWE Superstar. This is the beginning of the era of Logan Paul.”
