Two recent Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists will be welcomed to the stage for a festive show at a historic Manchester venue tomorrow night.
Denise Leigh and Stefan Andrusyschyn, who are both registered as blind, shot to fame last year on the popular ITV show with a rendition of Sound of Music’s Climb Every Mountain. The performance, with Denise singing alongside her pianist and accordionist husband, received a standing ovation and left Bruno Tonioli in tears.
Performing as Denise & Stefan, the pair were also described by Simon Cowell as ‘both amazing people’ whilst Alesha Dixon described their rendition as ‘faultless’.
Having made it to the semi-finals earlier this year, the pair will next be seen on Wednesday night (December 4) as part of a special Christmas Carols by Candlelight concert at Manchester Cathedral hosted by local sight loss charity Henshaws.
Stefan, 40, who is originally from Manchester, was born blind, while Denise, 53, was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa at birth and has experienced declining vision throughout her life. Denise, who also performed at the 2012 London Paralympic Games opening ceremony, says seeing other children with sight loss at the Carols by Candlelight Concerts for Henshaws has been life changing.
Consumer interest in EVs is waning.Β
Consumer hesitancy to adopt EVs could also contribute to the decline in used EV values, Kristen Lanzavecchia, director of industry solutions at J.D. Power, said at the same panel.
She says the most significant reasons for consumer’s hesitation toward EVs are the availability of chargers, range anxiety, and purchase price.
“Overall, there is this plateau in terms of what we are seeing of EV adoption right now,” Lanzavecchia said. “There have to be some big changes to infrastructure, range, and availability of more affordable EVs to see some change.”
Is it a good time to buy a used EV?
