Jake Paul told to immediately ‘stop’ after Mike Tyson boxing fight
The YouTuber-turned-boxer continues to make a name for himself following his latest triumph inside the squared-circle, but has faced a lot of stick weeks on from the Mike Tyson bout
Turki Alalshikh has warned YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul to stop calling his influencer career ‘boxing’ following his latest victory inside the ring.
‘The Problem Child’ has made a real name for himself in the ring since making his professional debut four years ago. With a record of 11-1, Paul has already defeated the likes of Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz.

His latest success inside the squared-circle came last month against former heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson. Despite failing to knock the 58-year-old out, the young American has faced a lot of criticism for accepting, and eventually fighting, ‘Iron Mike’ – whose previous professional outing came back in 2005.
The latest to have their say on the heavyweight dust-up is Alalshikh – who has taken a strong stance on Paul’s career in the sport. Speaking at the recent at the WBC Convention in Hamburg, the Saudi boxing chief has issued a stern warning to the 27-year-old.
“Boxing is not fourteen-ounce gloves, and it is not two-minute rounds,” said Alalshikh. “It’s not beating a legend who is your grandfather’s age. Boxing is not like this. [Jake Paul] Do not name it boxing, please. I am not against it, but you must name it a show or entertainment but do not name it boxing.”
In what was dull clash, Paul went on to defeat Tyson via unanimous decision. After the fight, Paul admitted – despite the war of words between the pair in the lead up – that he didn’t want to knock out Tyson when he clocked he was simply holding on as his age began to tell. “I wanted to give the fans a show but I didn’t want to hurt someone that didn’t need to be hurt,” he said.
