Here’s How Tanner Novlan Feels About Finn’s Future With Steffy, Poppy, and Luna on Bold and the Beautiful
The Bold and the Beautiful’s Dr. Finnegan recently took a page out of his mother’s book when he administered his own personal DNA test. He needed to know if he was Luna’s father. He needed to know if Poppy had kept the truth from him for all of these years. Unsurprisingly, she has. Finn is Luna’s biological father, and now he has to live life knowing that the psychotic Sheila is his mother and the disturbed Luna is his daughter.
Where Does Finn Go From Here?
Yes, Finn (Tanner Novlan) has a grown daughter, and she is someone he has known for her entire life. It all stemmed from his connection with Poppy (Romy Park) when he was just starting college. The two shared one night all those years ago. And despite Poppy, apparently, assuring him that he wasn’t the father, she lied to him.
Finn knows how his wife Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) reacted to Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) being his bio mom. There’s no way she’ll react better to learning the woman who held her captive in a cage is Finn’s bio kid. In fact, the actor doesn’t know who will react worse to the news about Luna (Lisa Yamada): his wife or his mother. “It’s going to be close,” Tanner Novlan recently hinted to US Weekly.
Shaky Relationships
Finn’s future won’t be easy. He has to navigate his relationships carefully and cautiously because the women in his life have larger-than-life personalities.
Finn and Steffy have been solid ever since they shook off their differences of opinion about Finn being related to Sheila. As soon as he drew boundaries with his biological mom and stayed away from her, he and his wife were on the same page. How long will that last, especially with Luna added to the mix?
“They really have a solid relationship, but there’s all these external issues,” Novlan explained to US. “And so you ask yourself the question of ‘Man, how long do you stay with someone, even though you love them, with all the external stressors around their life and drama?”
Meanwhile, Novlan and Poppy’s special connection will remain in the past. Thankfully, the actor doesn’t expect anything romantic to happen again with her anytime soon.
“I think he was really embarrassed by it,” Novlan hypothesized. “It’s something that happened when he was young, and he knows it’s wrong and was wrong, and now it’s reared its head years later in the worst way.”
The actor considers what happened a “trauma” for Finn. Now, that trauma is “coming back to haunt him.” Finn has to contend with the fact that Luna has killed two people and held his wife captive. Plus, she played a twisted game with Bill (Don Diamont). Processing the fact that Luna is his daughter will be difficult. Novlan isn’t sure Finn will be able to give her a second chance.
“He hasn’t forgotten that Luna has issues, so it’s gonna be interesting to see how he navigates that because we all know Steffy is gonna draw a hard line in the sand.”
