During a Valentine’s Day surprise, he confided in Hope about his conflicted feelings, acknowledging that Forrester Creations was built through the hard work of Ridge, Steffy, and Eric. Carter also expressed a desire to apologize to the family for his actions. However, Hope remained unaffected. Later, Carter was left frustrated when Hope walked out just as he was planning to surprise her with a gift.
