Jake Paul’s One-Word Message Adds Intrigue to Fight vs. Conor McGregor
Jake Paul has added fuel to rumors that he, not Logan Paul, may face Conor McGregor in a boxing match in India next summer.
After ESPN’s Salvador Rodriguez reported the fight between Jake and McGregor as “on the table” for July through September 2025, the oldest of the Paul brothers responded cryptically on social media with a single word: “Shhh.”
McGregor originally claimed he had “preliminary agreements” to face Logan Paul in India.
However, journalist Ariel Helwani later suggested that the Ambani family, supposedly set to back the event, prefers Jake due to his more established boxing credentials. Rodriguez’s report pointed in the same direction with Jake replacing Logan, even with Logan’s connection to McGregor under TKO Group Holdings.

Jake has compiled an 11-1 professional record, including wins over MMA legends Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, and Nate Diaz. His most recent fight, a points victory over 58-year-old Mike Tyson, further solidified his reputation as a headline-generating competitor.
Logan, on the other hand, has had a less consistent boxing career. He secured his first win in 2023 against Dillon Danis but has since focused on WWE.
McGregor, a former two-division UFC champion, hasn’t competed since he suffered a leg injury in 2021. His only professional boxing match was the infamous 2017 “money fight” against Floyd Mayweather Jr., which he lost by TKO.
The Irishman’s announcement of a potential fight against Logan was accompanied by a promise to return to the UFC Octagon later in 2025.
Jake’s condition for fighting McGregor involves UFC President Dana White’s direct involvement in negotiations, complicating an already high-profile event.
The older Paul said that the only way he’d consider fighting McGregor is “if Dana White / UFC are at the table” and is “okay with discussions.”
