The former two-division champion hasn’t fought in the UFC since 2021, but has been tipped to make a sensational return to the boxing ring against Paul in his comeback fight
Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor has issued a stern warning to Logan Paul amid talks of a boxing fight – which would net both men a huge $250million.
In December, reports suggested that the Irishman in talks to fight Jake Paul’s older brother. In a post uploaded to X – formerly known as Twitter – McGregor wrote: “The rumours of a bout with Topuria are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”
India’s Ambani family are reportedly working on a return for McGregor against one of the Paul brothers. The proposed bout would take place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, best known as a cricket venue. McGregor has not fought since 2021 when he suffered a first round defeat to long-time rival Dustin Poirier.

He was scheduled to take on Michael Chandler last year, however, a broken toe forced him to pull out of the bout. While the Irishman is still eager to settle the score with the former Bellator lightweight champion, it seems as if he’s now solely focused on the bout with Paul inside the squared-circle.
On Saturday night, McGregor took to X – formerly known as Twitter – and issued a strong message to Paul. He posted a photo of the WWE star during a wrestling appearance, captioning it: $250,000,000. #ImComing,” along with an emoji of the Indian flag.
The potential showdown has seemingly got the world talking at the minute. In a recent post uploaded to Instagram, Paul was left with egg on his face after the American’s poll regarding a fight with the Irish MMA star backfired. Asking his fans how a fight with McGregor would play, ‘The Maverick’ uploaded a poll along with an edit of him and McGregor throwing a punch towards each other.
With only 37 per cent voting in favour of Paul, the American’s test failed to pay off. Logan’s younger brother, Jake has been tipped to face McGregor as well. ‘The Problem Child’ has taken many swipes at the MMA legend over the years. In a recent post uploaded to X, the American revealed the only way a clash between the two stars would ever happen.
“Now it all makes sense why Conor McGregor and his management team have been desperately trying to get MVP to negotiate for a fight between us,” he wrote. “As we told them them privately and I’m now saying it publicly…the only way we’re willing to explore me vs Conor in a pro boxing / MMA fight is if Dana White / UFC are at the table directly or make it clear they are ok with discussions. Conor is washed. Needs the Paul’s. Logan by however he wants.”
