Logan Paul’s technique torn apart in first training footage amid Conor McGregor fight talk
Logan Paul has posted footage of him back in the gym amid reports he could be set to face Conor McGregor, with fans taking to social media to troll his technique.
Logan Paul has sparked speculation about his boxing skills after sharing a video of himself training, amid rumors that he might be gearing up to fight Conor McGregor. Recent reports suggested that both Paul and McGregor were in discussions for a boxing exhibition match in India, hosted by the billionaire Ambani family.
McGregor confirmed these reports via a tweet, which Paul subsequently liked, further fueling the rumors. The video Paul shared shows him training in the gym he shares with his younger brother Jake in Puerto Rico.
However, his technique has drawn criticism from fans, one of whom commented: “He’s been doing this since 2017 and he still doesn’t know how to throw a punch correctly,” while another added: “I’ve seen guys throw better punches after going to one boxing session in their lives.”
Paul, who is currently contracted with WWE and rumored to have a larger role in 2025, has not yet commented on the McGregor fight rumors. He has previously demonstrated his ability to take time off from WWE for fights, as evidenced by his exhibition bout with Dillon Danis last year.
Rumors of a potential fight between Conor McGregor and Ilia Topuria initially surfaced from a fake social media account. However, the news gained traction when McGregor and TheMacLife, a media outlet founded by reputable journalist Oscar Willis, who has a close relationship with the Irish MMA star, shared the information online.
McGregor later denied the rumors, stating, “The rumours of a bout with Topuria are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.”
McGregor’s future in the UFC remains uncertain, as he has not had a scheduled fight since 2021 and was forced to withdraw from a bout with Michael Chandler earlier this year due to a toe injury.
