Is Conor McGregor Removed From UFC After Recent Legal Case?
Conor McGregor and his latest legal troubles have become the talk of the MMA town. He lost the civil case against Nikita Hand, who had accused him of assault back in 2018. The jury found him liable for assault and had him pay more than $250,000 in damages. Needless to say, this has significantly impacted the Irishman’s life. Proximo Spirits has suggested that they would no longer use McGregor’s name to market Proper No. 12. Tesco, Centra Costcutter, Carry Out, and SuperValu refused to stock up any product linked to the former UFC champ. Even his fighting career and UFC comeback have come under fire from the public.
Dana White had previously announced that McGregor would return in late 2025. But that was before the fighter went knee-deep in legal issues. With 2 fights left in his UFC contract, will he actually return to the Octagon? Or will the UFC terminate the contract? Let’s find out!

Long answer short, the Dubliner’s fighting career might not be over yet. The Daily Mail came across a source with some insights into the matter. According to the source, “Conor’s UFC career is currently on ice but not completely dead in the water. He still is a draw and Dana White and UFC would still consider him to be a part of a future show, but with the stigma of the charge they are going to steer clear from him.”
The source compared Conor McGregor’s situation with that of Vince McMahon. The company shunned the former WWE CEO during the height of his legal troubles. ‘The Notorious’ might face the same outcome. However, with Dana White and the POTUS, Donald Trump, being supportive of the Irishman, things could be different for him. The source continued, “But it isn’t over for Conor by any means, because he could win his appeal and as we all know the UFC and Dana White has Donald Trump at their shows and are friendly with him.”
In the end, the return of Conor McGregor to the Octagon is inevitable. The only decisive factor is time. The source went on, “So Conor is in some hot water, but he will be able to come back eventually once the dust clears. It will just be a little longer away than originally expected.”
Right after he was found liable to pay for the damages to Ms Hand, McGregor took to Instagram and shared a post of his training. The caption read, “Last camp.. Next camp.” Well, the ‘Mystic Mac’ seemed to have stuck to his words. He previously said, “My job is to go to the gym and be in shape, whenever it is and wherever it is. I will be 100% ready.”
While McGregor’s UFC return might not be in trouble, his blossoming career in the entertainment sector looks to be dead in the water. And it began with his role in the popular shooting game, ‘Hitman: World of Assassination’.

It wasn’t just the UFC’s video game that featured the former double champion. McGregor also found himself in ‘Hitman: World of Assassination’. His role was that of ‘The Disruptor’, who began entertaining the gamers since the release of the Free Starter Pack on 15th November. The players had to take down ‘The Disruptor’, who was also a multi-millionaire MMA fighter but found himself involved in the Ark Society. However, the players won’t be able to get this Free Starter Pack anymore. Why? Well, the developers decided to pull out all the content with McGregor out of the Hitman series.
IO Interactive’s account on X, HITMAN, wrote in the tweet, “In light of the recent court ruling regarding Conor McGregor, IO Interactive has made the decision to cease its collaboration with the athlete, effective immediately. We take this matter very seriously and cannot ignore its implications. Consequently, we will begin removing all content featuring Mr. McGregor from our storefronts starting today.” The players who had already purchased the license to McGregor’s content could indeed play the mission indefinitely. But new sales have been terminated.
No doubt, ‘Mystic Mac’ was pretty upset with the jury’s decision. But he wasn’t going down anytime soon. He announced that he would exercise his rights and appeal to the court soon. But will IO Interactive collaborate again with McGregor if his appeal is accepted? Only time can tell.
