Who is Gregory Rodrigues? Meet UFC’s ‘Robocop’ who is destroying his competition

UFC middleweight Gregory ‘Robocop’ Rodrigues is must-see TV. The Brazilian terminator has been tearing up his competition in the UFC with savage intentions.

‘G-Rod’ is flying under the radar for many MMA fans, as he suffered setbacks in his earlier UFC career that halted his momentum. Now, he gears up for his first crack at the UFC rankings when he takes on Jared Cannonier in the main event of UFC Vegas 102 on February 15, 2025.

Here’s everything you need to know about Gregory Rodrigues before the biggest fight of his career.

Gregory Rodrigues age, weight, and height

Rodrigues will turn 33 on February 17, 2025. He competes at 185 lbs in the middleweight division and is listed as six foot three inches tall. Rodrigues is taller for MMA middleweight and has a registered reach of 75 inches.

What is Gregory Rodrigues’ MMA record?

As of February 11, 2025, Rodrigues is 16-5-0 in professional MMA, with a UFC record of 7-2. He has nine wins by knockout, four by submission, and three by decision.

‘Robocop’ debuted in the UFC in June 2021, shortly after winning the LFA middleweight belt with a knockout victory over future UFC fighter Josh Fremd. In his debut, he fought perennial contender Dusko Todorovic to a decision before knocking out Jun Yong Park in his next fight.

‘Robocop’ UFC ranking

Entering his fight with No. 7 Cannonier, Rodrigues is unranked as a middleweight in the UFC.

Gregory Rodrigues MMA losses

Rodrigues has five losses in MMA, three of which came in the UFC. Rodrigues was knocked out in his professional debut by now-14-1 Bruno Lopes – who graduated from Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS) in 2024 and debuted with a win over Magomed Gadzhiyasulov at UFC Saudi Arabia in January 2025.

Rodrigues then lost his third fight by split decision before going on a six-fight winning streak to secure his spot on DWCS. Here, he was knocked out by future welterweight journeyman Jordan Williams. Rodrigues secured the LFA middleweight title before being invited back to the UFC.
