Floyd Mayweather Has Summed Up Jake Paul’s Boxing Ability Perfectly In Just 4 Words
Even though Paul only has eleven fights on his record, he has become one of the biggest attractions in the sport and his fight against ‘Iron Mike’ – to be streamed live on Netflix – is tipped to break boxing viewership records.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer has beaten MMA fighters such as Tyron Woodley and Nate Diaz, but suffered defeat when he faced novice professional boxer Tommy Fury last year.
Speaking to TMZ Sports about Paul’s boxing ability, former five weight world champion Floyd Mayweather summarised what will happen when he faces a real boxer by saying:
“It’s gonna be bad!”

Mayweather – who faced Jake’s brother Logan in an exhibition back in 2021 – praised the 27-year-old’s ability to make money but advised the him to stay in his lane.
“Jake Paul, as of right now for what he’s doing it’s good for what he’s doing, but when it’s time to fight an actual real fighter, it’s gonna be bad! But one think I like about him, one thing I do is that he’s selling it and he’s making good money and he’s entertaining, I like that.
As long as he continues to fight MMA guys ant YouTubers then he’s going to continue to look good and shine, but once he fights a real fighter, a real fighter that can really fight, then it’s not going to be that good.”
On a potential fight against Canelo, ‘Money’ said his former opponent would ‘fk him up’. “He would get fked up by Canelo. There is no way, he would get demolished. But for what he’s doing, as long as they keep getting YouTubers and putting him in there with MMA guys that are over the hill then he will continue to shine. I’m proud of him. They know what they’re doing. I can’t knock him.”
Paul vs Tyson takes place on November 15 at the AT&T stadium in Texas.
