Jake Paul takes savage four-word swipe at Conor McGregor over UFC comeback
Conor McGregor hasn’t fought since suffering a defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021, but is expected to return to the cage in the near future.
YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul stated “I don’t really care” whether Conor McGregor, the former two-division UFC champion, makes a return to the cage. McGregor hasn’t participated in any combat sports since his defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021.
He was set to make a comeback earlier this year against Michael Chandler, but had to withdraw due to an injury. Speaking at the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s event in Marbella last weekend, ‘The Notorious’ hinted at a scheduled fight with Dan Hooker in Saudi Arabia.
However, ‘The Hangman’ has dismissed the proposed date as he is expecting his second child that month. Dana White, the UFC boss, has confirmed that McGregor will fight next year, although an opponent has not been finalised.
As MMA fans eagerly await his return, ‘The Notorious’ has been making headlines by challenging Floyd Mayweather, KSI and Nate Diaz.

Over the past few years, McGregor and Paul have been engaging in a war of words on social media platforms. The latest verbal jab from the MMA superstar appeared on X, formerly known as Twitter, where McGregor lambasted Paul following his bout with Mike Perry, saying: “Jake Paul is the biggest pbag I have ever seen in my life. 40 pound weight difference and still s* himself in there.” He went on to say: “And then calling out 60-year-old Mike Tyson fresh off an in flight medical emergency? I swear to god, a fat can of b* p***.”
The likelihood of a showdown between McGregor and Paul is dim due to their contrasting fighting weights. While the brash American vies mainly in the cruiserweight category and is anticipated to square off against Mike Tyson next month at heavyweight, ‘The Notorious’ commonly fights within the lightweight division.
Paul made his indifference clear regarding McGregor’s potential return to combat sports. In a conversation with Sports Illustrated, when queried about his perspective on McGregor’s future in the ring, Paul remarked: “I don’t really care, to be honest. Whatever happens will happen.”
In light of McGregor’s recent tirade in Marbella, neither Floyd Mayweather nor Nate Diaz has replied. However, YouTube sensation KSI offered his critique of McGregor’s behaviour.

Speaking with Misfits Boxing, KSI condemned the Irish fighter, asserting: “I feel like he’s a disgrace to the whole of Ireland, a disgrace to his family. I think he’s an embarrassment. What was the last notable thing he did?”
A reporter cited the Irishman’s win over Donald Cerrone from four years prior, but the YouTuber quickly dismissed it: “Give me something recent. He is nothing right now and he’s just waltzing about like he’s the s*** when he isn’t.
On whether he wanted to enter the ring with the MMA icon, he declared: “I’m here to fight. I said I want big fights and I’m going to get big fights. Next year, we’re going to fight big. That’s how I am and I can’t wait. I’ve been training hard, working hard, making sure I knock out opponents, making sure that the weight is on point every time.
“So, Conor, let’s go. The thing is with Conor, he’s not even fighting in the UFC. So, I don’t even expect him to fight. He’s not even fighting for Dana, so why is he going to come through to Misfits to fight me? It’s just not going to happen. I think when he finally fights for Dana, then maybe we can actually properly talk, but right now, he’s just a waste of time.”
