Here’s Why Bill Is Helping Luna On Bold and the Beautiful
Bill having Luna transferred from prison to his house is not so much him taking pity on her, but a story point to get viewers thinking about his mother.
We thought Bill lost his mind when he claimed to be in love with the murderous Sheila on The Bold and the Beautiful. But, it all turned out to be a ruse to try and trap her into confessing her crimes and sending her up the river. That didn’t work and she’s seemingly reformed. But now he’s trying to work some magic with another murderous woman: Luna. He had her transferred from prison to his house where she’s essentially still in prison, complete with an ankle monitor. But the question is, why did he do that?
Mom’s To Blame
What the show would have viewers believe is that Bill (Don Diamont) took pity on Luna (Lisa Yamada) because she got beat up in jail. So, now she’s in a house which is essentially a luxury prison. She and Bill’s conversations have been endless repetitions about how their mothers screwed them up. Luna blames Poppy’s (Romy Park) carefree lifestyle as the reason she became a murderer, while Bill kind of feels similarly.

As they commiserated, it became clear that Bill taking in Luna is less him trying to help someone out, and more a plot point. By constantly bringing up his mother, viewers are thinking that perhaps Bill’s mother will be seen onscreen some time in the near future. “I’ve always thought it would be interesting to explore Bill’s relationship with his mother,” Diamont told Soaps.
Even an Absent Mother Would Have Affected Bill
Diamont continued waxing about Bill’s mother, noting, “She is arguably the woman who shaped him into the man he eventually became.” He explained that even if Bill didn’t have a mother who was actively present in his life, “Her absence would have played a role in his development.”
As we all know, not only is he a ruthless businessman, but he’s also a bit of a womanizer. Diamont explained further that, “Bill hasn’t always treated women well, and that might be rooted in that past history with his mother.” He also remarked that hardly anything is known about Bill’s mom, and even if she died, because it’s a soap opera, she could eventually turn up.
