Mike Tyson shares shocking revelation about Jake Paul fight
Mike Tyson has opened up and shared the one thing he was most shocked about during his time in the ring with Jake Paul.
After almost two decades on the sideline, Mike Tyson made a return to professional boxing against the much younger Jake Paul—and the outcome was as expected.
A record-breaking number of viewers tuned in hoping to see something reminiscent of prime Tyson, but that unfortunately wasn’t the case. ‘The Problem Child’ danced around the ring and precisely picked his shots as the 58-year-old’s age showed throughout.
Fans’ hope that Tyson would find a knockout punch drained as the fight went on and it took just a couple of rounds before those watching knew their dream result wouldn’t unfold.

Despite looking visibly tired for the majority of the fight, Mike Tyson has denied those claims. The combat sports legend instead explained what most shocked him while sharing the ring with Jake Paul.
“Magically. It just happened so [quickly],” Tyson said during a brief interview with 7News at a pop-up event in Miami. “Eight rounds were over fast.”
“I wasn’t tired. I wasn’t sweating. I didn’t understand that.”
The word retirement is lingering around Tyson once again. While most signs point toward the veteran having already made his final walk to the ring, the boxing icon hasn’t closed the door on potentially returning in the future.
“As I said before, the sky is the limit. Anything I want, I’m just happy to be able to do.”
“I’m very grateful to have the opportunity to be able to do everything that I want to do in this and beyond.”
While it’s unclear whether he will compete in the squared circle again, news recently surfaced of Mike Tyson turning down a fight with a retired boxing champion.
Managing to avoid an embarrassing defeat to Jake Paul while also raking in tens of millions may be the ideal send-off that Mike Tyson could have hoped for.
