Sean Strickland responds to David Goggins challenging him to complete ‘Hell Week’ like UFC legend Tony Ferguson
Sean Strickland is staying busy while he waits for a title shot.
The ex-UFC middleweight champion recently beat Paulo Costa to seemingly secure himself a chance at the title that’ll be up for grabs when Dricus du Plessis faces Israel Adesanya at UFC 305 on August 17.
In the meantime, he’s accepted a challenge from former Navy SEAL and ultramarathon runner, David Goggins, who has invited him to ‘Hell Week’.
Goggins, a bestselling author and social media personality with 12 million followers on Instagram, has created an arduous week of training designed to mentally and physically break its participants.
UFC legend Tony Ferguson stunned the 49-year-old by becoming the first athlete to complete ‘Hell Week’ without quitting before facing Paddy Pimblett last December.

Goggins was in his corner, but it didn’t help Ferguson as he slipped to a seventh successive defeat when he fought the British lightweight prospect at UFC 296.
Strickland, who has publicly criticised Goggins, and even challenged him to a 15-minute spar, has been invited to try to repeat Ferguson’s feat.
“This is your opportunity to show that world that you can f*** me up,” Goggins said in a video message directed at his haters.
“I will have camera crews out there. You make sure you bring your f***ing camera crew out there because you’re going to want to get this on camera.
“A 49-year-old, broke down knee, fed up body guy is gonna put you through a camp that you think you can f me up in.
